This policy explains what Hetki stores about you, why, where it is kept, who helps us run it, and what you can ask of us. Hetki is run in Belgium. Write to gethetki@proton.me with any question or request.
In short: we keep only what Hetki needs to work, everything is stored in the EU, we never sell data or use it for advertising, and you can export or delete it yourself at any time.
Visiting this website
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores no personal data:
it records which pages are viewed, the referring site, any campaign tags in the link (such
as
utm_source), and the country, browser and device type, as totals. Our reason is
our legitimate interest in knowing which pages and channels work. This site sets no cookies
at all.
To stop abuse of the waitlist form, our server keeps your IP address in memory for no more than twenty minutes to count sign-up attempts. It is never written to disk.
The waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address;
- the campaign tags of the link you arrived through, if it had any (for example, that you came from a newsletter);
- when you signed up, when we sent the confirmation email, and when you confirmed.
We use these to send you one confirmation email, then one email when Hetki opens, and to count which channels bring people to the list. Nothing else: no newsletters, no sharing. Our reason is your consent, which you give by confirming the address and can withdraw at any time.
Your address counts as on the list only after you click the link in the confirmation email. If you do not, it is deleted automatically after a week. Every email we send has a link that removes your address from the list entirely, straight away. Otherwise we delete the list once the invitations have gone out.
Waitlist sign-ups are kept apart from Hetki accounts: signing up for the app does not link the two, and they are not part of any account’s data. The emails are sent by Brevo (France), which processes your address only to deliver them.
Your Hetki account
When you use the app, we store what it needs to plan your week:
- your name, email address and profile picture, as given by Google or Microsoft if you sign in with them;
- the link to your Google or Microsoft account, and the access tokens they issue, encrypted;
- your signed-in devices: when each session started, its IP address and browser;
- your tasks, projects, connected calendars and the plan Hetki made for you.
Our reason is the contract between us: without these, Hetki cannot plan your time. When you connect a calendar, Hetki reads your events to find free time and writes only to its own “Hetki” calendar in your account. It never edits or deletes your other events.
In your account settings you can download everything we store about you as one file, or delete your account. Deleting it removes your data at once; encrypted backups keep a copy for up to 30 days, after which it is gone.
Who helps us run Hetki
We use a small number of providers, all of which keep data in the EU and are bound by data processing agreements.
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| netcup | The servers Hetki and its database run on | Germany |
| Scaleway | Backups, kept 30 days | France |
| Brevo | Sending sign-in and waitlist emails | France |
| Plausible Analytics | Cookieless visit counts on this website | EU |
Once paid plans open, payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details itself, as a separate controller under its own privacy policy; we learn only your plan and whether it is paid. If you sign in or connect a calendar with Google or Microsoft, they handle that sign-in under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to move it to another service, or to stop processing it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Most of this you can do yourself in the app or with the link in our emails; for anything else, write to gethetki@proton.me and we will answer within a month.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we tell you by email before it applies.
